The Lakeshore Entry fountain is the grand entrance to a DR Horton housing development in Slidell, LA. consists of two independent fountain systems. However, it is designed to look like one large feature. The upper fountain water feature is multi-level feature. The top bowl has a 3” cascade nozzle with a maximum spray height of 12 feet and five (5), as well as, 2” cascade nozzles encircling the center with maximum spray heights of 6 feet. The water from the nozzles flow through four (4) scuppers equally spaced along the edge of the bowl and fall to the middle level of the feature. The middle level of the features is a ‘step’-style cascade of water. Additional ballast water is added to the middle section to provide desired volume of water flowing over the steps. The bottom level pool has twenty-eight (28) aerator nozzles that have an approximate throw of 31’ from the outside of the fountain toward the stepping waterfall, The maximum height of these nozzles is 9 feet at the apex of the water arc. All water effects will be illuminated with white free standing lights.
The lower fountain water feature is a single-level basin. The feature has three (3) 3” cascade nozzles with a maximum spray height of 8 feet. There is also an 8’ long waterfall with an approximate weir depth of 3/4”. All water is illuminated with white free standing lights. The waterfall is located between the upper and lower fountain to give the illusion of one large feature.
The electrical and mechanical equipment for these fountains will be housed in under-ground vaults located in close proximity to the fountain. The upper fountain’s equipment is housed in our RDP-5 Series vault with three (3) display pumps, one (1) filter pump, a filtration system, control and lighting panels, and accessories. The lower fountain’s equipment is housed in our RDP-3 Series 3 vault with one (1) display pump, one (1) filter pump, a filtration system, control and lighting panels, and accessories.
