The fountain at Northern Quest Casino, located in Airway Heights, WA, is a two-level water feature with a circular upper basin surrounded by a lower basin. The upper basin showcases sculptures highlighting the heritage of the area. Water is introduced into the upper pool through eight funnel cascade nozzles and flows over four weirs into the lower pool. The lower pool contains sixteen more funnel cascade nozzles. The funnel cascade nozzles are illuminated by a donut-hole light located on the piping riser supporting the nozzle. In high wind situations, a single-stage wind compensation control system will activate and stop flow to the nozzles in both pools until the wind abates. The filtration system will continue to run regardless of the wind. The fountain control equipment is housed in our RDP-3 Series pre-fabricated fiberglass pump vault. It includes a 3/4” automatic fill manifold system, a custom UL Listed NEMA-4 equipment and lighting control panel, a 15HP feature pump, a 1/2HP filtration pump, a 100 sq. ft. cartridge filter and the wind compensation system controller. Roman Fountains worked with Cost of Wisconsin and the owner to complete this one of a kind project.
