The Whale Project in Juneau, Alaska is a stunning tribute to a symbol of Alaskan heritage. The fountain is part of the Seawalk area on the waterfront. The project consists of an immense bronze sculpture of a single breaching whale. Surrounding the whale is a cascade of water to replicate the vision of a whale breaching the surface of the sea. The bronze statue is enhanced by twenty-four (24) fan jets, a fog system, and LED lighting. Other equipment used to create the effects include, 15 and 20 HP pumps, water filtration, a custom control panel, as well as a wind control device.
